During my recent stay at Chambres D'Hôtes Le Clos Bleu, I found the tranquility of La Rochelle refreshing. The beautiful period house, with its spacious rooms, provided a comfy retreat after days spent exploring the scenic coast. Our room featured a lovely en-suite bathroom and could easily be mistaken for a comforting escape from my usual London hustle. Catherine, our host, was exceptionally accommodating—she even offered us some much-needed food upon our late arrival. Each morning began with a delightful breakfast outdoors, showcasing a variety of fresh breads, pastries, and homemade jams, like the plum jam that I couldn't get enough of. The property boasts a plunge pool and a secluded sun terrace. I appreciated the chance to cool off in the afternoon, allowing for a serene pause in the midst of my adventures. The peaceful garden also offered a backdrop for relaxation, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. Chambres D'Hôtes Le Clos Bleu captivates with its charming atmosphere and a laid-back ambiance, presenting a hidden gem for anyone looking to find solace in La Rochelle.
